Hi Lorraine, So sorry to hear this. I think you will find that a lot of people are finding themselves in the same boat as you, including myself. I think what you will also find with the current government in place things will get worse for disabled people on benefits, and not better.
May I advise that, first and foremost, you must phone them to ask why your ESA has been stopped. Second, you must appeal and request a copy of the medical examination/decision and appeal it. In the meantime you are entitled to stay on ESA at the assessment rate whilst you are appealing. If you need help to appeal your local Citizens Advice or disabled advocacy service should be able to take this on for you.

Good luck,

love,

Barbara

PS I am still waiting for my appeal.

Hi Lorraine

I would contact your MP and complain. He/She will then write a letter of complaint to the DWP. They will investigate and get you sorted pronto. You could also write to complain direct to the DWP. It is important that they know about this, otherwise they are unaware how this is effecting you. I would also include in my letter to MP that this process needs to be reviewed for claimants. the more people complain if they are getting a raw deal the better for themselves and others.

I wish you all the best

Mari
